About the project

This project consists of a new Pharmacy building constructed above the existing Block H building on the Saint Vincent’s University Hospital Campus. As part of the works there is an interstitial plant room created at level 3 between Block H and the new pharmacy. This interstitial plant room house’s the Block H mechanical systems. There is also a plant room at level 5 shall housing the new plant for the Pharmacy. A new air cooled chiller also replaces the existing chiller at Roof level of Block N. The existing AHUs serving the Level 2 Day theatres were also replaced with new AHUs and ductwork within the new interstitial plant room. A new multi-storey carpark (6 levels) on the Merrion Road – Nutley Lane corner of the hospital.

Project Information

The Pharmacy consists of a GMP Clean room with aseptic support areas and offices. The car-park consists of a 6 storey multi-level facility.

Scope of works

For the Pharmacy, the mechanical services include supply, installation, testing and commissioning of the ventilation services to the Cleanroom and supporting areas including new air handling units and chiller, chilled water system, refrigerant A/C, water services, waste water and pneumatic transport. The existing AHUs serving the Level 2 Day theatres were also replaced with new AHUs and ductwork within the new interstitial plant room. For the car-park, the mechanical services include supply, installation, testing and commissioning of ventilation/AC along with fire protection services.
